With 170 outlets, over 150 sales people and in excess of $500m a year in revenue, Office National sells over 4800 office products using sales representatives, professional tele-sales, telephone customer service – all backed by a well designed website, leading edge tailored CRM and this year rolling out sales force automation. So what did Sales Consultants do?
We worked with them to build an Office Academy, researched, wrote, validated and implemented five comprehensive programs for their dealer principals and their teams to use in customer service. The result for the sales team in 2007 for Office National turned up one or two surprises… the Sales Person of the Year was 22 years old and he surpassed every KPI.( As a foot note he is now undertaking extensive training to become a sales coach. Who wouldn’t listen to what he has to say? ) The runner up was only 19, having only just missed, by the narrowest of margins, the top award. It wasn’t only the young salespeople who won awards. The salesperson that topped Category Expansion - that is adding additional product lines into accounts with every sales call -was 53 years old. He achieved add-on product category sales for every 2.1 sales calls. An incredible achievement.
